Fords That Become American

Fords That Become American When Henry Ford started his Car manufacturing business, I’m sure that he had a vision of a successful company, and of many great models of Ford cars being produced. I wonder though, if he imagined how big and powerful his company would actually become. Ford has developed some of the most iconic American cars that have ever been built, and have also sold millions of them worldwide. Therefore, in the 150th year since Henry Ford was born, I have made a list of favorite American cars of the past.

Ford Mustang

Probably the most iconic car from Ford, its introduction in 1964 sparked a slew of imitators, and was the original of the Pony class of cars. It has gone through many generations of design, and is still available to buy today in its latest form. If you bought one of these cars, it meant your street credibility would shoot through the roof, and the same is still true today. Not a pure muscle car, the v8 engines still mean that you can roar down the road with gusto, and receive admiring glances from other drivers

Ford F-100 Pickup

This is not the biggest truck you will ever see, and it is also not the fastest. However, it is still a classic in the truest sense. It was first produced in 1953 and came with 101 and 110hp engines, which hardly set the world alight. It did have a very comfortable seating position though, and it exuded charm from every panel. And It is this charm that has ensured the truck is still a favorite among many enthusiasts. And that it is continually sought after to be rebuilt or customized.

Ford Fairlane Victoria 1956

The Ford Fairlane went through many versions, but none of them were as beautiful as the 1956 version. It was available in many styles and colours, but the dual coloured convertible must have been the most admired. Even though it was introduced with several new innovations, the buying public was mostly unaware of them. More important to most purchasers was the combination of stunning looks, V8 engine, and practicality. This car really did have it all.

Ford Falcon

First produced in American in 1960, the Ford Falcon has continued to be produced up until today. The model is now only built in Australia, as it has been since the 1972. If any vehicle shows the endurance that Ford models can have, it is surely this one. It has lasted an incredible amount of time, and has been sold all around the world. The numbers of models that have been produced is more than any other ford, and have ranged from simple family saloons, to more sporting variants. Perhaps the most adaptable Ford ever built, or maybe it is simply the most dogged. It deserves its status as a classic. Fords That Become American
